We found the Travel Lodge at the last minute to come out and watch our son's soccer tournament. We initially decided on the Travel Lodge for the price and because it was available on short notice. After driving all night, the desk staff gave us an early check in with no extra charge. She was incredibly cheerful and accommodating. When we got there, we were surprised at how close it was to the charming downtown Scottsdale shopping area. The pool are was nice as well. We would stay there again.

Close sot everything downtown. Within walking distance to Scottsdale Stadium.

Loud heating/cooling system. Breakfast was a little scarce. A little pricey.

Location was fantastic for Giants games, dining and night entertainment. Price was reasonable. Continental breakfast was O.K.

The landscaping seemed a little unkempt. There was quite a bit of trash around the property. Some very loud and late (like to 4am) guests down the hall.

Sheets looked dirty. Phone did not work. Linens worn and stained. Facility badly in need of updating. Maintenance is poor. Sparse amenities, such as one shampoo, no hair conditioner, two small packets of soap, cups for coffee marked "No Hot Liquids" We stayed only one of the two nights we planned.

Carpets in the elevator are dirty, also in corridors. Breakfast is meager limited menu without butter no bread to toast (plain bagels made of white flour - without bran - I was told we can toast them). Coffee was very good.

All employees were helpful and nice.

Pool grounds were messy and in need of repairs.

The room was not in good repair - a lamp was falling apart, the carpet was worn and torn. Not all that clean - a dirty towel from previous occupant was still hanging. No coffee maker, although there was coffee to make.

We come to Scottsdale every six wks. Or so to hang out with our adult son and daughter and her family. We just need a clean, well located place in Scottsdale but don't want to spend a lot of money since this is not a "vacation". The Travel Lodge is perfectly located in downtown Scottsdale for shopping and dining. The price is very low for Scottsdale. It's not fancy but comfortable and clean and everything we need. Staff is friendly and helpful when called upon.

No problems at all with this hotel.

No heat in first room, had to change rooms. Breakfasts were mediocre. Corridors and grounds were shabby, need upgrading. Probable a 1.5 to 2 star hotel.

This was probably the worst stay I have ever had at Travelodge. From the broken thermometer in the room, and the lack of refrigerator or microwave in room, which I paid for, The broken ice machine, oh! How could I forget the night manager with the "I'M with AWESOME" T-Shirt.
